Faux fur vest.

It seems like my little fashionista is in love with furry vests! At the young age of 4, she already owns a few and loves to wear them with every outfit! She even bends the school rules and always accessorizes her uniform too! I, of course, adore that she loves to dress up all fancy and I have no issues letting her develop her own style.

These trendy little vests make the perfect sewing project! They don't require much fabric, which makes for a fantastic use of fabric scraps, and they require little time to complete. One can be whipped up in just about an hour! Check out the latest fuzzy addition to my daughter's closet...

For the front panels I used a long-haired, white faux fur that I had actually purchased for a craft project. It's so soft and cozy that it's ideal for a wardrobe accessory!

The back panel was cut from a scrap of thick coat fabric that I had left over from sewing a pea coat for a customer ages ago. The herringbone pattern makes this vest modern and trendy. The fabric is so soft, it's just as luxurious to the touch as the faux fur.

The vest is fully lined with a sleek lining, which prevents it from "sticking" to clothing underneath.

The contrasting textures of the fur and the coat fabric look really great together and make a really cute garment.

This vest is a great accent piece that goes well with many looks; pair it with jeans and a sweater, throw it over a dress, or wear with slacks and a shirt. It adds style and flair to every outfit!
